Collars & Leashes

When we first began rescuing dogs, we went through many leashes and
collars. We worked with many,
many dogs and throughout the years, the types of leashes we trusted
decreased to the point we began double leashing
to ensure the dogs would not get loose. Because we believe that no
dogs should be running loose,
we started making our own leashes with the lockable hardware.
Shortly thereafter, we were introduced to the plastic coated webbing
that is easy to clean, very strong, does not smell, does not host
bacteria and that feels similar to leather but is less expensive.
This new product is great because the dogs can play rough and get dirty
and, at the end of the day, all you need to do is wipe off the color
with soap and water.
We entered into an agreement with a local company to manufacture collars
and leashes for our rescue using high quality materials and each dog
entering our rescue, immediately receives a collar. We always use
the leashes for our rescues because they lock and have a back-up
connector just in case. At events, people would always ask where
we purchased our collars and leashes so we spoke with the local company
regarding selling these products to the public and donating a portion of
the sales to our rescue.
They agreed and so we are now selling collars and leashes on this site.
At least fifty percent (50%) of the profits from the sales of these products are
donated to For the Love of Pits®. |
